Browser-Triggered WYSIWYG Editing
An alternative way to start an editor is to use the Edit button or
the Edit Page menu entry of your browser. In the case of FrontPage
or FrontPage Express just press the Edit button. In the case of
other editors start RADpage and switch the Page Mode selector to
Std Ed, HTML Ed, MS Ed, or NS4 Ed depending on the kind of
editor you use. RADpage will display the page ready for editing, in
another browser window. In the case of Netscape Communicator you can
now use the Edit button or Edit Page menu entry, otherwise save the page to file and edit the
file by opening it in the editor (see Editor-Triggered WYSIWYG Editing).
During editing, components show up as small icons. Some other
editors might even not show them at all. However they stay on the page and
work again after putting the page back onto the server.
After editing, the page can be put on the server as any other HTML
page. So if you work locally, just save the page in the appropriate file, otherwise
upload it to the server as you usually do with HTML pages. In the case of
FrontPage Express and the RADpage Developer version just press save. In the
case of FrontPage, save the page to the appropriate file. In the case of a server
based heitml version, you must use the upload mechanism that is provided by
the Web server or just use ftp.
Now you might want to use the Wysiwyg Demo Page to try it out.
