Email FORMsMailforms are the most common Web applications. A mailform is a HTML form and a script like the PERL script FormMail.pl which processes the input fields, creates a mail and sends the mail to the specified recipient.Though an ordinary HTML mailform seems very easy to use at first glance, you'll find that functionality is missing like checking input fields and viewing the mail that is generated by the script before the mail is actually being sent. This additional functionality must be put into the script, so you have to learn a scripting language like PERL to extend the script that is processing the HTML form. Once you have extended the PERL script, your ISP normally might want to check that script for security purposes aso. before you can use it on your Web site. All in all, it may take you some time to make your mailform more versatile. Look at the Mailform Application Component to see how versatile your mailform can be using heitml/RADpage.
