ISP Configuration Issues

Additionally to running a heitml Web server an ISP must run several customer Web sites on a single machine and make sure that they do not effect each other.

This is somewhat more complicated, however heitml offers everything what is necessary to offer Web service (currently Apache/UNIX only).

Allowing clients to upload programs, such as heitml pages, or to allow them to develop pages remotely poses an inherent SECURITY RISK, just as uploading CGI scripts. heitml is designed in a way that if configured correctly heitml pages can not do any harm, but THERE MAY BE DESIGN OR IMPLEMENTATION BUGS. This is why we can not guarantee that there is no way to compromise your servers security. Instead when running your Web service you must be prepared for the risk. Note that you can never guarantee customers data put on the server is kept confidential.
